FLORIDA BRINGS HOME ANOTHER POWERBALL® JACKPOT WIN
~ Second Florida POWERBALL Jackpot Winner in a Week ~
TALLAHASSEE - Just one week after a Florida ticket won the record-setting $590.5 million jackpot, the Florida Lottery announces that yet another lucky Florida Lottery player matched all five numbers and the Powerball for the Saturday, May 25, POWERBALL® drawing. The $50 million jackpot will be shared with winners in Delaware and Louisiana.
"We are thrilled with all the excitement surrounding POWERBALL in Florida, and what that means for our students and schools," said Florida Lottery Secretary Cynthia O'Connell. "Eighty cents from every POWERBALL ticket sold is transferred to Florida's Educational Enhancement Trust Fund."
The winning numbers were 02-06-19-21-27 and the Powerball was 25. The winning ticket was purchased as a Quick Pick at Carrollwood Market, located at 4550 West Village Drive in Tampa. The retailer will receive $25,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
This is Florida's seventh POWERBALL jackpot winner since joining the game in 2009, including the record-setting $590.5 million jackpot. The winners of the two POWERBALL jackpots have not yet come forward to claim their prize.
