QUINCY WOMAN CLAIMS $500 A WEEK FOR LIFE
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Joyce Coleman, 65, of Quincy, claimed a top prize in the $500 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
Coleman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $416,665.34. She purchased her winning ticket from Ken's Country Store, located at 3780 Attapulgus Highway in Quincy.
The $1 game, $500 A WEEK FOR LIFE, has more than seven million winning tickets and more than 400,000 prizes from $10 to $100. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.97.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 67 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $632 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2014-15.
