PORT ORANGE MAN WINS $1 MILLION PLAYING THE
$5,000,000 FLAMINGO MULTIPLIER SCRATCH-OFF GAME!
TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery announces that Michael Alkins, 46, of Port Orange, claimed a $1 million prize in the $5,000,000 FLAMINGO MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
Alkins chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $732,904.00. He purchased his winning ticket from NP Discount Beverages, located at 5275 South Nova Road in Port Orange. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $20 game, $5,000,000 FLAMINGO MULTIPLER, features more than 7.6 million winning tickets and more than $346 million in total cash prizes! The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-2.97.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, comprising approximately 67 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $632 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2014-15.
