2. How do you play 1-OFF?
Playing CASH 3 1-OFF is easy. On the CASH 3 play slip, players should select the amount they want to play: $.50 or $1; mark the 1-OFF box; select the draw time: midday, evening or both; and choose one number, from 0 through 9, from each column for a total of three digits, or mark the "QP" (Quick Pick) box to let the terminal randomly pick some or all of their numbers.
3. Are the 26 additional number combinations printed on the CASH 3 1-OFF ticket?
Yes. The CASH 3 1-OFF ticket will print with the three-digit number selected by the player and the 26 1-OFF number combinations that represent all the possible three-digit numbers that are off by one from any or all of the player's number.
4. How do you win 1-OFF?
If the player's three-digit number is a Straight match to the winning CASH 3 numbers, meaning the player's numbers are in the exact order in which the winning numbers were drawn, the player wins $250 for a $1 play or $125 for a $.50. Or, if one of the player's 26 1-OFF number combinations matches the CASH 3 winning numbers, again in the same order drawn, the player wins $10 for a $1 play or $5 for a $.50 play.
5. How much does 1-OFF cost to play?
Players can choose to play 1-OFF for $.50 or $1, just like other CASH 3 play types. The cost of the ticket will vary depending on the number of draws played (midday, evening or both) and the number of days selected.
6. Do players get 26 more chances to win the top prize?
No. Players get 26 more chances to win the 1-OFF prize - $10 for a $1 play or $5 for a $.50 play.
7. If you select a CASH 3 number with like digits (e.g., 7-7-7 or 2-2-1) will there be fewer possible 1-OFF combinations?
No. Regardless of the CASH 3 numbers selected, there are always 26 possible 1-OFF combinations. Unlike Box or Combo, when you play 1-OFF a CASH 3 number with like digits does not change the odds of winning or the prize amount.
8. Can you play 1-OFF with any CASH 3 play type including Front Pair or Back Pair?
No. 1-OFF is not an add-on feature; it is a new play type that plays similar to Straight/Box. Now, players have another way to play CASH 3 or they may continue to play any of the other CASH 3 play types.
9. Does 1-OFF play like EZmatch™, do you match the 1-OFF numbers with your CASH 3 number to win instantly?
No. 1-OFF is not an instant win. Players win a 1-OFF prize by matching one of their 26 number combinations with the winning CASH 3 numbers, drawn in exact order for the applicable drawing. The 1-OFF numbers are all the 26 possible combinations that are off by one, in the order drawn, from any or all of the player's number; therefore, the 1-OFF numbers and the player's numbers will never match.
10. Why should I play 1-OFF if I can only win half the prize of a Straight play?
With Straight play, players get one shot at winning $500 for a $1 play. With 1-OFF, they get a chance to win $250 and 26 more chances to win $10 for a $1 play. The odds of winning 1-OFF are the best of any CASH 3 play type available! Players may continue to play Straight for a chance to win $500; but, for the same cost, 1-OFF offers players an additional 26 set of numbers increasing the players' chances to win a cash prize.
11. Do the old CASH 3 play slips still work?
Yes. The old CASH 3 play slips still work on the terminal for players who are not playing 1-OFF; however, new play slips are necessary to play the new play type.
12. Can I play the same play styles, as I always have for CASH 3?
Yes. Players may continue to play all of their favorite play styles - Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Pair, Combo, Front Pair, Back Pair - and, now, 1-OFF for both the midday and evening draws.
